Locked Up Too Long Says the NYCLU

NYCLU reports people arrested by the NYPD are kept in lock up way too long.
16 years ago the New York State Court of Appeals ruled that arrestees must be arraigned within 24 hours. This isn’t the case according to the NYCLU. Detainees are being held up to 50 hours before seeing a judge.
