Not So Wordless Wednesday
By Urban Thought on November 26, 2008 @ 2:54 pm
Today is Wednesday but it won’t be wordless (at least not for me). My camera isn’t connecting to my computer correctly so I’m stuck with inability to upload photos. I don’t have time to remedy the situation, working for the next two days, so I’ll have to handle that during the weekend.
Dan-Sean Mankind hit up the blog on Sunday and talked about what he is thankful for. Juan from Highbrid Nation asked folk what they were thankful for and this is the comment that I left:
I’m thankful for being able. But I’m also thankful that I have a job that pays well enough that I can pay my bills on time and doesn’t require me to apply for bailout money (not that its an option for individuals). I’m thankful for folks like you (and the entire Highbrid Nation family)as well as the rest of the blogosphere. I’m thankful for having a home to go home to and a family that loves me. I’m also thankful for the handful of friends that I have that I can actually count on.
During the tough times that this year has brought us it is great to be able to stand tall and keep strong with my family, friends, and fellow bloggers. At times when one wants to give up it’s great to know that people have your back (when it sometimes feels like you’re alone).
Be thankful that you have the shirt on your back and a pot to piss in (crass but relevant).

I’m sorry your camera is misbehaving. But I like the fact that you’re so quick to point out what’s going right with your life. Happy Thanksgiving!
I am very thankful for those things…and more.
First of all I’m thankful for the trackback. Lol. It may sound weird but I’m thankful for these rough economic times we’re experience. I think the saying holds true, that which does not kill you will only make you stronger. I feel like this is like financial fitness. Now’s the time to get your budgets and good spending practices in order so when the pursestrings do losen a little you can really focus on stacking some paper.
I’m thankful for my business. It may be a constant challenge the everyday man doesn’t face but at the end of the day I don’t need to worry about the layoffs.
Lastly I’m thankful that we finally have a competent President moving in the White House.
Thank YOU for being YOU and having this blog and sharing with us these juicy morsels of you!
You’re bucking the WW system.
I’m thankful that we’re still “growing up together” – we started our blogs in Sept 2006 and we’re still here! I remember your first exploratory posts when you wondered if you were any kind of writer. I’m glad you’re keeping the artist in you alive!
I hope you had a great turkey day and you are correct, be glad you have a shirt on your back and pot to piss in. With recent developments, I hope I do for a long time to come.
