Fathering Children
Sitting around in a group of people, I found myself. I didn’t understand how the subject came up but one of the folk in the group spoke about his child.
The man is 31. He has a son who is 18. His 18 year old son is now a father. So this makes the dude a 31 year old Grand-father. You just can’t make this stuff up. So I’m thinking the son of the son of son will end up doing the same thing that his father and grand-father have done, have children at a very young age. The 31 year old didn’t raise his child. And the 18 year old hasn’t seen his son since he was born. Will the new born follow in the same footsteps?
Is this the stuff that Barack is going around discussing that is pissing off Jesse to the point that he wants to cut Barack’s balls off? And can I just say, “Who the hell is Jesse to talk when he was running around with some young woman making babies when his wife was at home. And isn’t he some sort of Reverend or is that just a title he holds because he doesn’t have a doctorate?”
Dating
This time of year a lot more people date. It’s warmer so their is more to do and the weather permits folk to wear less clothes.
What is dating?
I was under the impression that dating had to deal with the going out with someone you were getting to know. I thought dating ended when you decided that this is the person that you want to spend all of your available time with and it then transitions into… A relationship.
The relationship gives you the privilege of granting titles to this significat other (such as boyfriend/girlfriend).
Is this not the case?

Urban Thought | 5 Observations
Jesse Jackson needs to keep his mouth shut. I know people make mistakes, but if anybody needs their nuts cut off it would be him. His track record of keeping them in his pants and to his wife is not that great.
The cycle (having kids out of wedlock) has has to stop, from both men and women.
What is dating? Well I grew up in a household that said dating was for people who wanted to get married. It wasn’t looked upon as a time for casual outings and sex as it is today.
I’m kind of thinking that things were a little better back then. You didn’t have many of the problems that you do today. Especially with people screwing around with your emotions. Dating meant something back then, today it’s nothing.
Jessie needs to do like his son says…keep hope alive and shut the hell up. His pettiness is not hot. I guess when you hide a child outside of marriage and do not involve yourself in their development, Sen. Obama’s critique hits too close to home.
I thought dating was fact finding and spending time getting to know someone as well in order to make a decision about progression. All I ever hear about his hookin’ up and shackin’ up. Guess I’m just old fashion because I find ritual an important part of my life and dating is one of them.
Oh well…Smile
“The man is 31. He has a son who is 18.”
um. so he was 13 when he became a father?
I’m sorry…I didn’t even read the rest of this post yet. I was so taken back by that alone…. wow.
Now if the 18 year old just became a father too, at least he waited until he was of age.
sheesh.
Jackson isn’t willing to let gay couples marry, either. Condemning their desire for commitment, while condoning his own commitment to (adulterous) desire, isn’t very fair, is it?
Was Obama’s Father’s Day speech specifically aimed at African Americans? Jackson’s comment implies this. But I’ve never noticed that deadbeat dads were confined to any particular race.
The cycle will continue if no values are instilled into these youth. And you have the dating thing to a science. That is exactly what it’s all about. Great post!
