B.I.G (Believing In God)

**This post chronicles events that transpired just a week ago**

Sitting here at this computer desk, I am reflecting on some things that have been on my mind as of late. One thing that is clear to me is that God is greater than any joy or pain I can feel in my mind, body, or soul.

As I watched my mother who is in her 60’s graduate today, all the while sitting alongside my grandmother (my mother’s mother) I got a warm feeling inside. I was happy! I was happy to see 4 generations of my family in church celebrating life that’s still being lived instead of mourning a death and trying to focus on the legacy of the deceased. It’s times like this that I truly cherish.

After the ceremony, I departed from the rest of the family and made my way home. I took the highway back as opposed to riding the routes back home. I wasn’t in the mood to cruise. I actually missed my exit and had to go ten miles out of the way to catch another route in the opposite direction, which added twenty more minutes to my travel. Once I made it home, I decided to go to my “other” house to relax. As I was making my way around the driver side of the whip, I heard a hissing sound that immediately caught my attention. I couldn’t help but notice a hole the size of a nickel in my rear tire on the driver’s side. Instantaneously, I was pissed off because 1) I just spent money that I didn’t really have to begin with, and 2) the monopoly man is trying to leave me in serious debt, lol… Anywho, it wasn’t long before I replaced the bad tire with the donut I had and to my surprise I found the side of the tire that normally isn’t visible was bald. Now imagine if that would have happened while I was riding on that highway. The Lord had my back and there’s no way I could confuse that with luck or coincidence. He even provided an outlet for me to be able to get my tire replaced.
