My co-worker was on her phone leaving a message to some dude she has been seeing for a couple of months. She happens to be white and her boyfriend of the moment is black. These were her words:
Why haven’t I heard from you? It’s been a couple of days now since you’ve last talked to me. I don’t understand. Is it because of Black History Month? You’re too busy to talk to the white girlfriend?
Now, I’m sure duke has had plenty to do on his end. There isn’t that much volunteering for black history month (if that is the reason) to not call her. Perhaps, he just isn’t that into you?

I bet when she thought of saying that in her mind it sounded really cute and catchy. She thought he would smile, maybe even chuckle, and then giver her a call. I think this is a direct result of having nothing to say
He isn’t that into her, and it sounds like she is triflin’ anyway. Clearly she sees only the color of thier so call relationship and would be the first to call him out of name during and arguement.

Televisiontraci: I believe you may have tapped into her way of thinking. I’ll have to follow up to find out what they response to her phone message was. Should be interesting. We don’t all react well to those types of messages.
Debo Hobo: Could be. I know some Black men who get with White females to say that they have. She made it a point to tell us that she was with a Black man so I only assume that it is a factor within the so-called relationship. She has used the N-word more than once in my presence. I don’t put it past her if she ever says it to his face or about him behind his back.
Yeesh. But if she meant to be funny…that would be funny. But if she didn’t mean it to be funny…well, it’s sad!
