Waking up everyday knowing I have life, blessings from the Lord and a family that loves me. Knowing you are a part of my life and I am a part of yours. Thinking about calling you. Thinking about rolling over and holding you. No matter how near or far we may be physically, you never manage to leave my mind or my heart. Knowing your past has not altered the feelings I have for you, but made me love the vulnerability you possess when you speak the truth. Wondering how you feel, then hearing you tell me brings a smile to my face. Never will I intentionally hurt you. Being honest is our only policy and we are always aware that the truth may hurt. Knowing that you or myself may be hurt calls for some healing. Feeding one another, or simply smiling and glancing at one another in complete silence speaks volumes. Encouraging each other in every way possible, never allowing ego to intefere is how we conduct ourselves. We may not always agree but we are mature enough to listen and consider each other’s viewpoints. We do special things like write poems and love letters, buy candy and flowers, take walks together and have candlelit dinners just because. We call one another just to say I love and miss you. When we talk on the phone, we never really want the conversation to end and sometimes we count to three before hanging up. When we’re intimate, every fiber of my love will embrace you. There will be no reason to rush for patience is a virtue and I want to take my time exploring every part of you. When we go out, we are aware of the jealous eyes and the negative energy people around us give off, but we pray that they find what we have regardless of how much they believe we are wrong for one another. We know that we are blessed to have each other when our family and friends congradulate us and say how good we look together. We don’t know if we’re to be together for a season or a lifetime, but we deal with each day as it comes. We are faithful and love one another unconditionally, seeing past our flaws. We both come to each other when we may be fearful or troubled, to confide in and console one another. We are the rock for each other, the same rock that the Lord is for us. We never forget to thank Him for the many blessings given, and those blessings to come. Because we walk with Him, there is nothing that cannot be achieved through Him. If we should ever come to the agreement that we have done all we could in this union to make it work and would be better off as friends, no longer lovers, that decision would be a mutual decision for the good of both of us. Our love will be one to remember, as well as a great learning experience. For now and forever, my bona fide love.
