Those Three Women

Three Woman

Karma came by the other day and rained on my parade.

However, it was expected that she would visit. As I was walking out of the building the other day, I didn’t hold the door for this old lady. I thought nothing of it at the time. Being so consumed in my own routine, I sometimes neglect the needs of others. Low and behold, here I go walking down the stairs the other day and Karma comes along and trips me. All my belongings flew in the air. No wonder they call Karma a bitch. She can do the worst to you. Karma used to live next door from me and would stop by from time to time. Now I find myself doing right by others. She has since moved out of my neighborhood. Yet, she comes around every now and again to remind me that I need to stay on path.

Unlike Karma who moved to another neighborhood, Procrastination isn’t too far out of reach. She can often be a blessing but if you abuse her she can become a curse. My first bout with Procrastination landed me with a big fat late fee. I kept embracing Procrastination and allowing her to keep me from paying my bill on time. I should have let her go the moment I took hold of her but comfort set in along with Laziness (but we won’t be talking about her today.) Procrastination is very much apart of my life. Unlike Karma, Procrastination chills in my second bedroom waiting to consume me.

My good friend Patience is one that I adore. Patience and I have always had a good relationship. People always notice Patience when we are together. They are surprised by how strong she can be and how strong she can make me. Being around her during the tough times is what I cherish the most. I find people have very little Patience. However, for me it is the fact that they have very little, that shows me that Patience has more than enough for me. All good things can often be bad too. Patience can sometimes keep me from going after what I want. One might be too busy patiently waiting for others to handle their business and let some things fall through the cracks. Nevertheless, Patience, out of all these women, keeps me stress free.

This was a project that a friend of mine asked me to try out.

Your writing is changing and you are definitely finding your own unique voice! That was lovely writing.

When it come to Karma I like to think of it as less about bad karma out to get you but your higher self giving you a reminder. Our higher self wants our greatest good and sometimes what’s good for us isn’t the most fun experience. But if we pay attention and are patient, usually the good will be revealed.

The Orange Phoenix: Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Dan-Sean Mankind: Whoa… I don’t think I hold a candle to what I’ve seen and read of your own truths and experiences. But I thank you for the kind words. I have a lot more to get off my chest.

Ms. Q: It’s a long journey. I think it has been a year since I’ve decided to take this path in life. I’m glad that I’ve had the opportunity to share with you. It has truly had an impact on me. Thank you for seeing the growth. It being mentioned lets me know that change is actually occuring.

Karma = Checks and Balances

You are so right in how you put that down.
