The End of The Game Boy
By Urban Thought on August 4, 2007 @ 1:01 am
As I was researching some info for my supervisor I came across an article talking about GAME BOY. Nintendo is putting the game console ‘Game Boy’ to rest, permanently (or so they say).
Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, ColecoVision, Commodore and the like were the electronics I grew up on. Game Boy was the first on the go hand held gaming device I purchased myself. So having it retired is really telling me that part of my youth is gone.
I’ll always have my memories. (Further proof I’m getting old. Retiring games I used to play.)

Whoa! It’s been ages since I seen one of those old school brick style Game Boys. I think I still have one somewhere.
Yeh from what I understand, Nintendo wanted to “test the waters” with the DS and actually were planning a new Gameboy but after the runaway sucess of the DS, They figured there was not room for two handheld lines and put Gameboy to rest.
Lots of fond memories here. RIP Gameboy.
WHOA ive had a gameboy since 3rd grade.i am now 50 years old.i think the gameboy games are now fitting on the ds.
