I have different views on the “N” word. No, I am not referring to the word “Nigga.” I’m speaking of the word “NIGGER.”
When I hear the word spoken from the mouth of a Caucasian male or female I can sort of understand the way my ancestors felt having to endure being discriminated against because the word can be very hurtful considering the nature of the word.
I am sure that being called a “NIGGER” by someone who is of African descent is a more hurtful feeling and I am aware that it has happened. I feel at times that the thought patterns of certain people who either discriminate or have faced racial profiling may change according to experience but that isn’t always the case.
I’ve been called a “NIGGER” once in my lifetime and I didn’t react in a hostile manner at all. The person that said it yelled it out as the vehicle he was riding in passed me by. I feel that, as a person, you must know who you are. The titles that people place upon us or us on ourselves should not define the person we are when it’s coming from a negative place.
That’s just my opinion.

The “N” word should not be used at all!!!!
One thing that pisses me off is that white people aren’t aloud to say the “N” word, and if a black person overheard, they’d get there ass kicked most likely!
But black people i know say “whats up niggga”, Yo nigga! thats not right what so ever!
If were not aloud to use it they shouldn’t
like white people don’t care if they call us white cracker and all those racist names. Because we don’t seem to care!
black people that use that word are hypocrites.
Im listening to a song right now “lollipop”
he’s saying the word nigger a hundred times!
Im not racist what so ever, but it’s not fair!
You are correct in saying that no one should use the word. It doesn’t matter what color, race, or however you describe/label yourself, it doesn’t make it right.
I can appreciate your frustrations regarding the matter. However, I have to argue the point of saying: What is good for the goose isn’t good for the gander.
Yes, someone will whip your ass for using the word. Is it just? Not at all. Some of us walk around with a blanket of ignorance over us and think that we can say anything to anybody.
If my family calls me one name and a stranger tries calling me that I am going to call them out. That is a term used with the family. It isn’t something that you may want other folk calling you. Don’t get me wrong… The N word is bigger than what I’m speaking of but I think it falls into the same area.
