I Dream Of Blogging

05.24.07 | User ImageUrban Thought | 2 Observations

They say that you have at least seven dreams for every eight hours of sleep that you actually get. I haven’t had eight hours of sleep in some time. They also say that you dream in black and white. I don’t know who has said all this but I dream in color. As for the seven dreams per night, I cannot confirm nor deny that. And I don’t plan on doing any research.

But one thing is clear about my dream last night. It was in color and it was about blogging. I’m not sure if anyone has every dreamed of blogging but it had more to do with what may end up being our future. With what may end up being apart of the no child left behind act, every child will have a blog. But that would also mean that every child would need to have a computer.

Why I dreamed of blogging? I don’t know. My friend got me into this. A free for all thought processing machine a blog can be. What it can also be is a niche site of information.

I haven’t reviewed this post with my editor. She would probably ask why would I want to post this in the first place. I’d just thought it would be nice to share.

Back to the Dream:
I was sitting in a classroom back when I was in Junior High School. Remember, this is a dream. I’ve been out of JHS for years. The teacher had a few subjects to cover: content, engagement and monetization.

Imagine our youth learning this Web 2.0 (or whatever this new landscape of the web is called) stuff as young as 12 years old. How to turn your site into a money making super site?

The youth of today have it made. I didn’t grow up with a cell phone with video (I did have a beeper though). The future has a lot in store for it. I look forward to seeing what the youth will bring.

If I’m dreaming about blogging and that kid over there is dreaming up the next concept phone then I can only wonder what will be next for us.
