I’ve had the opportunity to witness the NYPD at its finest. As I was walking through Times Square, with some folks, we saw a commotion across the street in front of Champs. All I could hear was, “look at those cops on that dude.” So there I went across the street camera in hand. Cause I don’t think enough of us get to see how the cops truly can be when it comes down to treating people with respect. Even if the people they are dealing with are so-called suspects.
From what I can tell of the situation the guy on the ground ran a few blocks. At some point, the cops caught up to him and pushed him to the concrete. Several of them got on top of him. This is when we all witnessed the poking and kicking the cops were inflicting on the “suspect.” While this is going on his female companion tries to calm him down by talking into his ear. She later gets the cuffs put on her (not sure why that was).
Take a look at the photos and you tell me what you think.
