Maybe I’m showing my age, but I remember the days when there were little old men and women selling chocolate bars and gum out of little carry -on cases as they moved from subway car to subway car.
Ah, those were the days, if you got lucky, you could get your sugar fix, buy batteries for your walkman/CD player, a toy for your kid brother and be nice to the man in your life and get them some disposable razors. It seems that they have been pushed out of the territory by those random kids from the group home selling candy for a dollar to sponsor their “basketball team” or “just to put money in their pocket to stay out of trouble.” So sitting along side of them is this womanÂ
Â
Antoinette Jones, a Yonkers mom, forced her five kids - one just 7 years old - to walk miles by themselves to beg for money from strangers at supermarkets, police said yesterday.Â
Â
Man, what’s the state of the world when this woman can muscle out the basketball kids. At seven, your only worry should be figuring out how to eat that many candies without somebody catching you. Not making your daily quota. If this is the state of the world today, I shake my head in shame and willingly keep my dollar in my pocket… well, unless they have M&M’s peanut.

Unfortunately, I am not surprised by this woman’s treatment of her children. I wish the world was such that I’d be shocked.
This story saddened the hell out of me…baby momma indeed.
Then we wonder about the state of children in the inner city when all the parents care about is “gettin that paper”.
They need to put that woman in jail and tie her tubes.
