On The Way Home: Taxi Ride

Taxi's After DarkSitting at your work desk til 1am is the norm for some folks but not me. That is what happen to me this morning as a deadline needed to be met and I was stuck at my desk trying to pump out as much productivity a normal eight hour day cannot handle. Good thing that you work with people you can crack jokes with to pass the time away.

The great perk about working late is that you get to ride home in style. No iron horse for this dude. My job said we will have none of that. They put me in a cab (oh joy). Do they not realize it is hard to get a cab when you are who I am? No worries, no cries as I was able to get a cab in two seconds flat. It may be a new record for someone such as me.

To make a long story short I fell asleep several times. Knowing the driver needed step by step directions you would have thought I would have stayed up. What these cabs need are GPS systems so they themselves have a sense of direction. In the end the cab cost a steep $42.25. Good thing I’m not paying for it.

If you ever want to price your fare before taking a cab go to Taxi Fare Finder.
