Black Hair, Big Business: Who is really making the money?

10.16.06 | User ImageUrban Thought | 1 Observation

Black HairIn the Black community you’ll find many hair care product stores. Behind the counter you see Koreans. Why do Koreans own all the Black hair care stores? Because it is big business. It is a billion dollar industry and we get close to 1% of the cut. Why is this?

Black people everywhere here my cry. Go nappy for a lifetime or go get a piece of the pie. Boycott these stores and start your own. But who am I kidding? You cannot tell some black females to go nappy? That is like telling a fat person to put that last piece of cake down. It’s just not going to happen. I’d like to see Black folk prove me wrong. That would be a start.

Please follow the link to the website which talks about the lack of Black owned hair care stores.
