What I thought would be a seamless trip to the bank turned out to be an increasingly normal scenario when living in NYC. So hear I go walking through the turnstile and what do I see? The Cops, a bag, and an empty platform. Someone saw something so they said something.
You can’t leave a bag anywhere in NYC unattended. Someone is going to panic. It can be a bomb or some gym clothes. In NYC no one is taking a chance. It took the police all of three hours to finally get the situation resolved. What did it turn out to be? Clothing for someone’s trip, probably a forgetful tourist? Maybe. It could have been worst but it wasn’t.

Shout out goes to the MTA, NYC Police Department, and Homeland Security.

Damn… That’s crazy! Good thing it was just clothes. Even then, why would you leave a bag unattended? It might get stolen, after all you are in NYC. ;)…j/k
I was walking on 42nd Street with a friend and we saw this man walk up to an unattended black bag, ready to go thru it. My friend and I just looked at each other like, WTF? Does this person not watch the news? It could have been a bomb in there and he could have opened it up and detonated it and us on 42nd Street could have been blown to smithereens. Maybe I watch too much television, but hey, you never know.
